Accelerating Policy Change: Supporting Thriving Food Systems Through Good Governance

May 1, 2025 11:00 AM PST

You’re invited to join the second webinar in our Accelerating Policy Change series!

Local and state policy change has always been a key pathway for creating healthy, thriving food systems, but in our current political climate, ensuring that community organizations and lower-level governments are equipped to drive meaningful change is especially critical.

This one-hour webinar will explore how communities can improve governance of food systems and achieve impactful changes in food policy through cross-sector partnerships at local and state levels. Our speakers will describe a range of possibilities for local and state policy improvements and share real-world examples of the impact of good governance in food policy. Panelists from our BUILD Health Challenge partnership in North Carolina will share perspectives from local government, community organizations, and the health sector and highlight innovative solutions they’ve used to address complex challenges in their food systems work.
