Advancing Public Health 3.0: Integration in Workforce Development Planning Dec. 17, 4-5 p.m. ET
Join ASTHO on Dec. 17 from 4-5 p.m. ET for a discussion-focused webinar on the reinvigoration
of workforce development! Register here. In 2020, the Wyoming Department of Health Workforce
Development Workgroup collaborated with ASTHO and the
Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Center to advance
Public Health 3.0 in Wyoming. In an iterative design
process using data, case studies, systems thinking,
and learning principles, the workgroup began to integrate
PH3.0 into the agency’s workforce development planning
and culture change consistent with health equity and
the role of a chief health strategist. In this webinar,
experts from the planning group will share lessons
learned from this experience that will support your
workforce development and systems improvement efforts
by:

  • Providing a framework for using workforce data
and national initiatives to build capacity
and understanding for Public Health 3.0 and
    agency culture change.
  • Assisting and encouraging jurisdictions to leverage
regional public health training centers to
support workforce development and systems improvement.
  • Creating a forum for jurisdictions to ask questions
and receive immediate feedback from peers and
    national partners.
Speakers include:

  • Feliciana Turner, Performance
Improvement Manager at the Wyoming Department
    of Health, Public Health Division
  • Sarah Davis, Associate Director
at the Rocky Mountain Public Health Training
    Center
  • Heidi Westermann, Director of
Public Health Systems and Planning at ASTHO
