Summary:

The American Lung Association is ready to assist public health professionals and tobacco control programs to promote health systems change to increase tobacco cessation. We have developed a new tool designed to help you get the most out of CDC resources including the Million Hearts® Tobacco Cessation Change Package and the Best Practices Users Guide: Cessation in Tobacco Prevention and Control. Join us for a webcast that will demonstrate how to use this Roadmap to pinpoint where you are and where you need to go to promote tobacco cessation health systems change. This webcast is intended specifically for tobacco control program staff, especially those working on cessation and health systems change, to further their use of the Million Hearts® Tobacco Cessation Change Package. You will also learn about opportunities for ongoing technical assistance for tobacco control program staff, to support their work with health systems throughout their states and jurisdictions.

Registration is required to receive the live webcast link and post-webcast, on-demand recording of the training.

This interactive webcast is ideal for public health professionals of any level. Tobacco Control Program staff can expect to:

  • Learn about the new Lung Association Public Health Roadmap to Coaching a Clinical Team using the Million Hearts® Tobacco Cessation Change Package

  • Learn how to easily identify key resources within the Million Hearts® Tobacco Cessation Change Package for coaching health systems with health systems change to integrate tobacco cessation

  • Increase confidence to engage and partner with health care systems and health care professionals in outpatient, inpatient, and behavioral health settings that are interested in improving how they promote and support evidence-based tobacco cessation services

This webcast is made possible through cooperative agreement NU58DP006703 with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC – DP19-1904, Technical Assistance to Increase Tobacco Cessation).
