21st Century Student Scholarship
This $800 award provides conference support to full-time undergraduate and graduate level students to attend the SOPHE Annual Conference or the SOPHE Advocacy Summit.
Vivian Drenckhahn Student Scholarship
This $2,500 scholarship is awarded annually to three deserving full-time undergraduate or graduate students who are national SOPHE members and who have excelled academically, demonstrated a commitment to addressing the public’s health through a career in health education, and who have demonstrated financial need.
Graduate Student Research Paper
This award fosters quality graduate student research and provides a mechanism by which to recognize outstanding graduate students for creative and
innovative research. The winning paper will be recognized by receiving $250 cash award, complimentary registration at the upcoming SOPHE Annual
Conference, and Recognition of the award in SOPHE’s communication channels.
Karen Denard Goldman Mentor Award
This award recognizes a National SOPHE member in an academic or practice setting who has made a significant contribution to the preparation and/or performance of health educators and has successfully forged the link between practice and research.
This award recognizes early career health educators (less than five years) who have distinguished themselves as promising health educators through leadership, creativity, involvement in the profession, and health education practice.
Clarence E. Pearson Program Excellence Award
This award recognizes outstanding contributions by a program (not an agency) to the practice of health education.
This award recognizes individuals or groups who have distinguished themselves by applying innovative, non-commercial technology in health education that can be broadly disseminated and has the potential to make a significant impact in health education practice.
