The SOPHE Collegiate Champion is an opportunity for student members of National SOPHE to engage their campus community in public health outreach, peer mentorship, and develop career skills such as:
- - Event planning and coordination
- - public speaking
- - professional writing
- - mentorship
- - problem solving and more!
Right now we are recruiting for 2019-2020 champions. They can visit the SOPHE website and apply. This is a 2-year program so the former champions will now move to the role of mentor encouraging and guiding the incoming students as they develop skills focused around 2 main events (1 each semester- fall/spring). To learn more about the program and mentor responsibilities check out the newly updated SOPHE Collegiate Champion handbook!
If you would like to refer a student please guide them to the application form on the website and offer to be their faculty sponsor (applications will remain open throughAugust 2019).
If you have any questions about the program or would like more clarification please reach out to the SOPHE Manager of Membership and Marketing, Heather Flattery at firstname.lastname@example.org.
