Health Promotion Practice publishes 2018 paper of the year in Spanish Washington, D.C. - December 20, 2018 - The Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) announces the publication of its first peer-reviewed journal article in Spanish, "Aplicación de la teoría de aprendizaje en el entrenamiento acerca de seguridad y salud para trabajadores inmigrantes en las lecherías," available open access in Health Promotion Practice (HPP). The article, "Applying Learning Theory to Safety and Health Training for Hispanic Immigrant Diary Workers," was selected by the HPP Editorial Board as the 2018 Sarah Mazelis Paper of the Year. The award-winning manuscript describes a novel intervention to address the significant problem of injuries among dairy workers, largely immigrant families who make up more than 50 percent of all dairy labor.
